XRay Doll and The Art scoop the Australian Independent Music Video Awards

It’s always nice when your hard work pays off, so we were pretty chuffed when our ‘Dreams and Nightmares’film clip for The Art won two awards at last weekend’s Australian Independent Music Video Awards (AIMVA). We not only nabbed the award for the Best Punk Rock Video of the year, but also scored the Best Costume and Make-up of the year (a huge thanks again to our make-up and costume super stars), Glitta Supernova and Karen Hopwood!

We’d like to take this opportunity to once again thank everyone involved in the shoot as well as the AIMVA for recognising a good thing when it sees it.

Launch of Dreams and Nightmares

Thanks to everyone who came to the launch of Dreams and Nightmares at Club 77 on the weekend!

And for you poor suckers who missed out – enjoy the pics…

Dreams and Nightmares

XRay Doll joined forces with Sydney-based rockers The Art on the band’s latest film clip, Dreams and Nightmares.

First: no, it’s not  another sepia-toned music clip set in a post-colonial country (we’re looking at you Mumford and Sons!) or a singer wandering through a bustling city (too many bands to reference here…). You know us better than that.

It’s hyper-real, trippy and, just plain awesome. We like to think so, anyway.

Why don’t you be the judge and see for yourself.

And while youtube takes its sweet time loading, check out some stills from the shoot below (and behind the scenes piccies here)

Dreams and Nightmares peek BTS

XRay Doll and The Art made sweet sweet music on the set of the band’s latest music video Dreams and Nightmares.

Massive thanks to everyone who helped out on the clip. We love you guys!
